The live-action hybrid merged the worlds of Looney Tunes and basketball to create one of the most beloved family films of the era. It’s no surprise that fans have been clamoring for a sequel ever since, and after all this time, prayers have finally been answered.
Directed by Malcolm D. Lee, Space Jam: A New Legacy has finally materialized. However, before checking it out, it would be wise to go back to where it all started for the game of your life.

As for what to expect, the film mixes live action and animation in much the same way as its predecessor, with Michael Jordan being replaced by LeBron James, also playing a fictional version of himself.
Things take a turn when he and his aspiring young son of game developer Dom (played by Cedric Joe) find themselves trapped in the Warner 3000 Server-Verse. This virtual world is ruled by an evil AI called Al-G Rhythm (Don Cheadle), and LeBron is forced to round up the Looney Tunes for a game of basketball against the Tyrant’s Team to save the day.
While this is familiar territory, it promises to deliver more and more waves of nostalgia.

Talk with Comics, Malcolm D. Lee spoke of his hopes for audiences to find his sequel in theaters:
“I hope people feel safe enough to come out because Space Jam: A New Legacy is built around the theatrical experience… Movies like The Fast and the Furious, Black Widow and Space Jam are definitely worth it. . It is designed for 50 foot screen and surround sound.
He added: “So I hope people come out and enjoy the film the way it was meant to be enjoyed.”
