CABS-Minnesota Announces Diverse Voices Fellowship Program

Colorado Springs, CO – CABS-Minnesota has announced that it is currently accepting applications for its Diverse Voices Fellowship Program. CABS-Minnesota is seeking to build a cohort of five fellows who want to learn more about the antique and rare book trade and who have found themselves estranged from the trade due to race, gender, sexual orientation, disability and/or their income. The Fellowship may be of interest to a variety of audiences, including booksellers, collectors, librarians, archivists, museum professionals, and graduate students.
“This is a vital initiative that we believe will benefit participating scholars and the antiquarian book trade, as well as the cultural heritage and bookseller communities as a whole,” said CABS Director Lorne Bair. -Minnesota.
The fellowship offers a professional and career development program designed around fellows’ interests in the antiquarian book trade. Fellowship activities include a two-day field school in New York with opportunities to meet old and rare booksellers, and a week-long seminar in Minnesota on selling old and rare books. Travel, accommodation and meals for these events will be funded by the scholarship.
Fellowship applications will be accepted through December 10, 2021. Further information about the fellowship, including application instructions, can be found on the CABS-Minnesota website at bookseminars.com/fellowship.php .
