âThe complications of Covid-19 have caused a cash flow crisis for many businesses, and this is especially true for nonprofits like the Lions Club,â Brusio says. “So with the blessing of Coldwell Banker and the cooperation of the Roaring Run Lions Club District 22W, I came up with the idea of ââa Carroll County comic book / nostalgia show that could benefit local charities.”
Working from Coldwell Banker’s office in Westminster, Brusio often works on new ideas that help him specialize in special needs. In 2020, he released the Debbie Fights Coronavirus comic book to give teachers virtual learning content and to give children with autism a visual resource that tackled Covid-19 anxiety.
âPutting a face on an invisible enemy that has locked us all out has changed the way I think. I thought to myself that what worked in 2020 may work in 2021. So this year the many faces of pop culture will help raise funds for many. people who need it. Whether it’s comics, posters, records, toys, CDs, DVDs, VHS, you name it, if people grew up with it, we will do our best to have it at the living room. ”
Vendor space is currently available for the Carroll County Comic Book & Nostalgia Show, and interested parties should contact Vince Brusio at 410-948-9857 or by email: [email protected]
