You may remember the Daniels – Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert – as the directors of the very strange and very entertaining film. Swiss army man, which featured among other things Daniel Radcliffe as a farting corpse. (The movies really just rehash the same three storylines over and over again, eh?)

The Daniels’ latest film appears to be a play with this surreal style of comedy. In Everything everywhere at once, Michelle Yeoh plays an ordinary woman who sets out on a quest to protect the multiverse from an existential threat. (Dude, the multiverse is so hot right now. Whoever the agent of the multiverse is, he’s doing a fantastic job for his client. Just bring them out, put them in everything.)

The trailer looks really fun – and, among other things, the film feels like a great showcase for Michelle Yeoh, a wonderful actress who rarely takes center stage these days. Looked:

Yes, it’s Ke Huy Quan – AKA Data from The Goonies and short round of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom – making just his second theatrical appearance in 20 years (he was in a Netflix movie released earlier this year called Find ‘Ohana). It’s so nice to see him on screen again. Here’s the official synopsis for the film:

Directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, collectively known as Daniels, the film is a hilarious, big-hearted sci-fi action adventure about an exhausted Chinese-American (Michelle Yeoh) who just can’t seem to finish. his taxes.

Everything everywhere at once is scheduled to open in theaters on March 25.
