‘Fan Expo Dallas’ returns to the Convention Center this weekend
DFW is ready, isn’t it? Fan Expo Dallas returns to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas this weekend, September 17-19.
It’s been a few years since we’ve been to a big comic book convention and the folks at the Fan Expo usually have a good one. We hope this weekend, even with some COVID restrictions, this one will be as good as you might expect.
There have been a few stars that have dropped out due to COVID issues and other reasons given, but the list that is supposed to be there is still pretty good, here are a few:
Ryan Hurst is an actor known for his movie roles such as Opie Winston in Sons of Anarchy, Beta in Walking Dead, Gerry Bertier in Disney’s Remember the Titans, Tom Clark in Taken and Sergeant Ernie Savage in We Were Soldiers.
Ronald Perlman played the role of Vincent in the Beauty and the Beast television series (1987-1990), Hellboy in Hellboy (2004) and its sequel Hellboy II: The Golden Army (2008), and Clay in the Sons of Anarchy (2008-2013).
Carl Weathers is known for his roles as Apollo Creed in Rocky’s first four films, George Dillon in Predator, Action Jackson in Action Jackson (1988), and most recently his recurring role as Greef Karga in the Star Wars series The Mandalorian.
Tim Rozon most recently starred as Mutt Schitt in the CBC runaway comedy “Schitt’s Creek”, alongside comedy icons Eugene Levy and Catherine O’Hara. Tim currently plays Chief Agent Luke Roman on Syfy’s latest show, “SurrealEstate”.
Christopher Eccleston is an English actor. The recipient of an Emmy Award and two BAFTA Award nominations. Eccleston garnered attention and praise for portraying the ninth incarnation of the Doctor in the 2005 revival of the BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who, becoming the first to play the role since 1996.
William Shatner – George Takei – Walter Koenig – Zachary Quinto
Myths Demise – Adam Savage
Oh yes, there are more, many more. Cosplayers galore, merchandise stands, art stands, you know the usual stuff you find at a big convention.
Line up, take pictures and, for god’s sake, have fun.
