The Swiss-Russian key converter Laboratoire Naturel and the ZetTechnology group of companies, based in Kaluga, Russia, have invested in a complete neXline spunlace line from Andritz. Start-up is scheduled for the second quarter of 2022.

The large capacity line is designed to process different types of fibers, especially polyester/viscose and cotton blends and is dedicated to the production of high-end hygienic and cosmetic wet wipes to serve private label customers. Andritz spunlace line with its CPC design (CPC: Card – Pulp – Card) will process multi-layered spunlace fabric including wood pulp as raw material. Such a configuration will allow the Natural Laboratory and the ZetTechnology group of companies to produce fabrics from 30 to 60 gsm. In addition, the configuration of the line will allow the production of bio-wipes.

Vaagn Manukian, CEO of Laboratoire Naturel and the ZetTechnology group of companies, says, “We have continued to innovate for more than two decades and we must maintain our high quality product signature while manufacturing multi-use wipes. This is why we chose to trust Andirtz and its advanced technologies for the design and installation of our first complete spunlace line”.

With this contract, ANDRITZ demonstrates its strong global position in providing state-of-the-art, high-end nonwoven solutions and its flexibility to meet individual customer demands.

Laboratoire Naturel and the ZetTechnology group of companies have been pioneers in the processing industry and manufacturing of wipes in Russia since 1996. Both companies were the first manufacturers of wipes for the Russian hygiene market. The Andritz range will address the local Russian wipes end-use market as well as more than 20 countries in Europe and Asia.
