MCU actor Kang spotted with Marvel Comic mid-filming of Ant-Man 3

Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Kang the Conqueror Jonathan Majors was spotted at Golden Apple Comics mid-filming of Ant-Man 3.
Warning: SPOILERS for Loki Episode 4, “The Nexus Event”
Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Kang the Conqueror Jonathan Majors was spotted at Golden Apple Comics during filming Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Lovecraft Country‘s Majors was reportedly cast as the time travel antagonist last September and, despite Marvel Studios’ affinity for secrecy, it has been confirmed that he will appear in the third installment of the The ant Man franchise. As Phase 4 of the MCU looks set to launch its multiverse, many expect the major villain to be the next big bad in the universe.
Four episodes in Loki, rumors continue to circulate that Majors will make his official debut as Kang in the Disney + series, possibly as a post-credits scene / cameo. Loki Episode 4 appeared to cement Ravonna Renslayer of the Time Variance Authority (TVA) as the series’ villain, revealing that TVA is made up of kidnapped variants of the Sacred Timeline and illustrious Time-Keepers to be nothing short of more than local androids. As audiences head into Loki’s fifth week, all eyes are on Ravonna’s long history with Kang in the comics, hinting that Majors’ character may be the real puppeteer behind TVA in his quest. to control space-time. Many have speculated that VAT exists in the Quantum Realm, which will be explored further in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Over the weekend of July 4, the majors visited the legendary Golden Apple Comics, a store frequented by many creatives from Marvel Studios. In a photo posted to the store’s Instagram account, Majors is seen holding a copy of The Avengers # 267 which also contains the subtitle âKang Lives !. The majors also signed an R2-D2 prop in the store as Kang and said this was his first time signing anything as a new character. Check out the post below.

It is worth noting that Avengers # 267 sees Kang attempting to eliminate any of his divergent duplicates, or variants, created each time he jumps in time, from an older version dubbed “Immortus” who becomes the Keeper of Timelines to a younger version who becomes the hero Iron Lad. The story also begins with the Council of Kangs, whom some suspected of being the Keepers of Time in Loki. Marvel Comics takes Kang on a journey through the multiverse, giving the MCU a handful of ways for majors to debut.
Given the various themes and traditions explored in Loki, it would make sense for Kang to appear as soon as possible. With both Spider-Man: No Path Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness should be multiverse heavy, making Kang an impending big bad via Loki would recall the introduction of Thanos in The Avengers (2012). The character could also help introduce characters like the Fantastic Four, Galactus, and Doctor Doom. Although the majors have denied rumors that he would appear in Loki, he’s probably sworn to keep it a secret given the impact his character will have in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. So the majors’ trip to a comic book store could be part of a PR move to signal Kang’s imminent arrival, or the majors might just love the comics.
