Rogue Starring Bruce Willis Releases Trailer
The trailer for Bruce Willis’ new action vehicle titled Detective Knight: Snape was published by Lionsgate. This movie seems like another low-budget direct-to-video release for the action star, except this one could be part of an already shot trilogy? In it, Willis plays a Los Angeles cop who sees an increase in bank robberies in the city by an elite group of thieves.
The synopsis on IMDB is what suggests the film could be the first part of a trilogy:
Bruce Willis stars as veteran detective James Knight, dedicated to navigating the demanding streets of Los Angeles, in this thrilling first of a trilogy of films. As the town prepares for Halloween, armed robbers wearing masks seriously injure Knight’s partner in a shootout following a heist. With Knight in hot pursuit, the bandits flee LA for New York, where the detective’s dark past collides with his current case and threatens to tear his world apart…unless redemption can claim Knight first.
The film also stars Lochlyn Munro, Michael Eklund, Corey Large (who also co-wrote), Keeya King and Jimmy Jean-Louis. The film comes from director and co-writer Edward Drake. Drake previously worked with Willis in 2021 cosmic sin. Digging a little deeper into the idea that this could be part of a trilogy, we found an article from Hollywood North Buzz, published last year, which announced two more films, christmas knight and Devil Knight, would be filmed in November and December 2021. No news on whether the trilogy has been completed. So far only Detective Knight: Snape has an IMDB page.
Earlier this year, Bruce Willis announced he would be retiring after being diagnosed with a terrible condition called aphasia. However, many Willis DTV movies are finished and awaiting release, including one called city of paradisewhich reassociates it with the old pulp Fiction co-starring John Travolta. No news yet on when this film will be released, but it’s generally considered the star’s last hurrah.
Detective Knight: Snape will be published on 21st of October.
