A siren moans over grungy New York City in the opening image of the new Bruce Willis Detective Knight: Redemption trailer. Like the Mermaid, many fans of the legendary actor will likely lament too, as this film will be one of Bruce Willis’ last films before the action star retires for good.
Detective Knight: Redemption is the sequel to Detective Knight: Snape and the second film of the detective knight trilogy. In Thug, Willis plays Detective Knight, a cop who chases the bank robbers who shot and killed his partner on Halloween night. Facing the architect behind the robberies, Willis shoots him and is arrested for murder.
Following the holiday theme of the first film, Detective Knight: Redemption takes place next Christmas. The new trailer shows Knight in custody after the end of the first film when he finds himself in the middle of a breakout led by The Christmas Bomber, the leader of a Santa-themed gang that is terrorizing the town. . Knight is promised a clean slate if he helps the police catch the terrorists.
The Bruce Willis detective knight series is directed by Edward Drake, who is known for gasoline alley, which also stars Willis. Drake also wrote the screenplay, along with Corey Large, who is also a main cast member and one of three producers. Randall Emmett and George Furla make up the rest of the production team.
Bruce Willis’ detective knight isn’t the only holiday-themed action movie to bear Willis’ name. Widely recognized as one of the best Christmas movies of all time, the 1988 action classic, die hard is what made Willis an action hero superstar and household name in the first place.
Unfortunately, detective knight will be Bruce Willis’ final appearance on the big screen. In March 2022, Willis’ family announced in an Instagram post that Willis had been diagnosed with aphasia, a condition that affects communication. Aphasia affects speech and the understanding of written and spoken words and is often the result of a stroke. Due to the impact of his illness, the 67-year-old actor will no longer be able to pursue his decades-long acting career.
In over thirty years on the big screen, Willis has amassed quite a legacy to leave behind when he retires. In addition to die hard and the detective knight series, Willis has starred in other action classics like The fifth Element, pulp Fictionand Slevin lucky number.
But fans don’t have to say goodbye to the action star just yet, because there should be another Bruce Willis movie. detective knight series. Detective Knight: Independencethe conclusion of the trilogy, has already been filmed and will be released next January. Following the theme of the two previous films, Independence will take place on Independence Day and follow Willis’ Detective Knight, stopping another villain from wreaking havoc on the city.
Detective Knight: Redemption will be released in theaters on December 9, 2022.
