Spose learns a painful lesson at concert in Hampton Beach, NH
Any artist who performs on the road will tell you that every tour has its ups and downs. Whether it’s travel issues or venue issues or something as simple as not having enough time to check the sound before their set, earning a living on the road can be taxing. Lessons are learned along the way by seasoned musicians and no matter your level of experience, every gig can be proof that there is still much to learn. One of Maine’s most famous musicians, Spose, shared a hard lesson he recently learned in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire.
While performing at Wally’s Pub, Spose and the crowd clearly felt the song that was performed on stage. At a key moment in the song, Spose allows the energetic crowd to sing a part and extends his microphone and stands out from the audience in hopes of amplifying the chorus. Instead, the pivotal moment happened and the shock and awe on Spose’s face tells the whole story.
Rather than just sing into the extended microphone, a member of the crowd decides to pull the microphone and break free from Spose’s grip. During this move, Spose’s insanely expensive microphone flies into another part of the crowd as the “noooooooo” slow motion can be seen on Spose’s ultra-worried face. He admitted in his Instagram post that it was a lesson learned and concert failure all rolled into one.
